§ 6-13 Discharge from Restrictive Housing.
RCNY § 6-13
(a)The Department shall discharge an incarcerated person from restrictive housing if such person has not engaged in behavior that presents a specific, significant, and imminent threat to the safety and security of themselves or other persons during the preceding 15 days.
(b)The Department shall discharge an incarcerated person from restrictive housing within 30 days of their initial placement and shall not place an incarcerated person in restrictive housing for more than a total of 60 days in any 12-month period.
(c)All persons in restrictive housing must step down to general population housing or a Restorative Rehabilitation Unit (RRU) after they have been in restrictive housing for a total of thirty (30) days.
