802.4 Vent termination caps.

MC § 802.4

Vent termination caps shall not be permitted and a drain installed to receive condensed or rain water shall be required. A positive means, such as offsets, shall be provided to prevent water from entering the appliance. Exception: Termination caps shall be permitted on listed factory-built chimneys unless otherwise prohibited by the New York City Air Pollution Control Code.
