What is NYC FGC § 615.6?

Quick Answer

This section mandates that sauna heaters be equipped with a thermostat to limit room temperature to 194°F (90°C). If the thermostat is separate from the heater, the heat-sensing element must be positioned close to the ceiling and secured against damage. Applies to operators of facilities with sauna installations.
