What is NYC FGC § 503.12.7?

Quick Answer

This section establishes the required clearance for draft hoods, specifying that the relief opening must be at least 6 inches from any surface except the appliance it serves and the connected venting system. If the appliance label indicates a different clearance, that specification takes precedence. Applies to building owners and operators of appliances with draft hoods.
