FGC § 406.1.1.1

Welded gas piping shall be subject to special inspection in accordance with Chapter 17 of the New York City Building Code. Radiographic testing shall be performed on all butt welds in gas meter and gas distribution piping operating at pressures exceeding 5 psig (34.5 kPa gauge) within buildings, in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section IX.
