§ 58-14 Compliance with Laws – Workers' Compensation.

(a)Compliance with Law. An Owner must comply with all provisions of the New York State Workers' Compensation Law and regulations with respect to coverage and benefits to eligible persons. 35 RCNY § 58-14(a)Fine: $25 for each day in violationAppearance REQUIRED (b) File Certificate of Coverage with the Commission. An Owner must maintain on file with the Commission a current Certificate of Workers' Compensation Coverage, or a Valid exemption. 35 RCNY § 58-14(b)Fine: $200Appearance NOT REQUIRED (c) Designate the Commission to Receive Notices. An Owner must designate the Commission as a certificate holder to receive all notices concerning the Workers' Compensation policy. 35 RCNY § 58-14(c)Fine: $200Appearance NOT REQUIRED (d) Provide Driver with Proof of Benefits Ending. When a Driver who is receiving Workers Compensation benefits has recovered and is ready to return to work, an Owner must: (1) File a notice with the Workers' Compensation Board to end the disbursement of benefits due to the worker's recovery; and (2) Provide the Driver with documentation that benefits have ceased in order for the Commission to return the Driver's License. 35 RCNY § 58-14(d)Fine: $100 - $250Appearance REQUIRED
