RCNY § 2-07
(a)The procedures set forth herein are in addition to and not in lieu of the procedures of the Art Commission pursuant to Section 854 of the Charter.
(b)Works of art acquired pursuant to Section 224 of the Charter shall not be, without the prior written approval of the Art Commission, (1) sold or otherwise alienated or disposed of; or (2) altered, modified in any way or relocated.
