What is NYC AC § 27-702?

Quick Answer

This section establishes requirements for uplift capacity in construction, specifying a minimum factor of safety against withdrawal of two. In cases of dynamic uplift loads, a greater factor is required. Pull-out tests are generally necessary to demonstrate uplift capacity unless a higher factor of safety is used. Applies to building owners involved in construction projects.
