§ 19-186 Compilation of bicycle crash data.

AC § 19-186

a. The department shall compile the total number of bicycle crashes that are reported to city agencies. Such bicycle crash compilation shall include crashes between bicycles, between bicycles and motorized vehicles and between bicycles and pedestrians. The department shall commence compiling such data on October 1, 2011. b. On June 1, 2012 and annually thereafter, the department shall provide a report to the council for the preceding calendar year, with such report posted on the department's website, of the total number of reported crashes as required by subdivision a of this section, disaggregated by those involving solely bicycles, between bicycles and motorized vehicles, and between bicycles and pedestrians. Such report shall also include the number of injuries and fatalities resulting from such crashes disaggregated as above. Such report shall also be disaggregated by borough and by police precinct.
