Editor's note: this section has been amended by L.L. 2025/164, 11/28/2025, eff. 6/26/2026. Prior to issuing a license or permit for possession of a firearm, the department must provide applicants with the following statement in printed form:"Warning: The presence of a firearm in the home is associated with an increased risk of suicide, death during domestic violence disputes, and unintentional deaths to children and others." (L.L. 2017/236, 12/1/2017, eff. 3/31/2018)
