BC § 903.2.4.3

An automatic sprinkler system shall be provided throughout any Group F-1 occupancy fire area where any one of the following conditions exists: 1. The fire area exceeds 7,500 square feet (696.8 m 2 ).

2.The fire area of any size is located more than 3 stories above grade.
