705.2.2 Type III, IV or V construction.

BC § 705.2.2

Projections from walls of Type III, IV or V construction shall be of any approved material. Projections located where openings are not permitted or where protection of openings is required shall be constructed of the following: 1. Noncombustible materials.

2.Combustible materials of not less than 1 hour fire-resistant-rated construction.

3.Heavy timber construction complying with Section 2304.11.

4.Fire-retardant treated wood.

5.As permitted by Section 705.2.2.1.
