Storage tanks shall be supported on a firm base capable of withstanding the weight of the storage tank when filled to capacity. Storage tanks shall be supported in accordance with the New York City Building Code. Tanks within an area of special flood hazard shall be designed, constructed and installed in accordance with Appendix G of the New York City Building Code.
