5704.2.9.1.3 Fire protection of supports.

FC § 5704.2.9.1.3

Supports or pilings for aboveground tanks storing Class I, II or IIIA liquids elevated more than 12 inches (305 mm) above grade shall have a fire-resistance rating of not less than 2 hours in accordance with the fire exposure criteria specified in ASTM E 1529. Exception: Structural supports tested as part of a protected aboveground tank in accordance with UL 2085.
