5704.2.7.6 Repair or alteration of tanks and piping.

FC § 5704.2.7.6

The repair or alteration, including welding, cutting and hot tapping of storage tanks and piping that have been placed in service, shall be in accordance with NFPA 30. Hot work on such tanks shall be conducted in accordance with FC 3510. Hot tapping shall only be allowed with the approval of the commissioner.
