5704.2.1 Change of tank contents.

FC § 5704.2.1

Tanks that will be undergoing a change in contents shall comply with the design and installation requirements applicable to the type of flammable or combustible liquid with which it is proposed to be filled in accordance with this chapter, including FC 5704.2.7. Prior to a change in contents, notification shall be made to the department, which may require submission of design and installation documents, testing of a tank for leaks, and/or documentation of compatibility. Tanks that have previously contained Class I liquids shall not be filled with Class II or Class III liquids until such tanks and all piping, pumps, hoses and meters connected thereto have been completely drained and flushed. Tanks that previously contained combustible motor fuel may be used for biodiesel motor fuel as set forth in FC 2307. Approval of the department shall be required for a change in contents to biodiesel only if the biofuel content exceeds 20 percent.
