3605.2.3 Portable fire extinguishers.

FC § 3605.2.3

One non-freezing type portable fire extinguisher of the ordinary (moderate) hazard type shall be provided at each required standpipe hose connection. Where there is no standpipe connection, one non-freezing type portable fire extinguisher with at least a 2-A rating shall be provided for every 2,500 square feet (232 m 2), or part thereof. Additional portable fire extinguishers, suitable for the hazards involved, shall be provided and maintained in accordance with FC 906.
