3604.2.3 Batteries and fuel.

FC § 3604.2.3

Where practicable, batteries and all fuel shall be removed from the vessel. Where removal of batteries is impracticable, precautions during charging of batteries shall be taken in accordance with FC 3603. Where removal of fuel is impracticable, all tank stop valves shall be closed and the tank inspected to ensure that there are no leaks. Adequate ventilation shall be provided for hull and bilge areas.
