FC § 2404.3.7.2

Makeup air and flammable vapor area exhaust systems shall not be interlocked with the fire alarm system. The ventilation system shall remain in operation upon activation of the building fire alarm system. Exception: Where the type of fire extinguishing system used requires that ventilation be discontinued, makeup air and exhaust systems shall shut down and dampers shall close.
