2006.11.4 Fuel spill procedures.

FC § 2006.11.4

The owner or operator of the aviation facility shall establish comprehensive procedures to implement in the event of a fuel spill, which shall include the following actions: 1. Upon observation of a fuel spill, the aircraft-fueling operator shall immediately stop the delivery of fuel by releasing hand pressure from the fuel flow-control valve.

2.Failure of the fuel control valve to stop the continued spillage of fuel shall be cause for the activation of the appropriate emergency fuel shutoff device.

3.A supervisor shall respond to the fuel spill area immediately.
