Portable fire extinguishers shall be provided as follows: 1. Where the open-hose discharge capacity of the fueling system is not more than 200 gallons per minute (13 L/s), a minimum of two listed portable fire extinguishers complying with the requirements of FC 906 and having a minimum rating of 20-B:C shall be provided.
2.Where the open-hose discharge capacity of the fueling system is more than 200 gallons per minute (13 L/s) but not more than 350 gallons per minute (22 L/s), a minimum of one listed wheeled portable fire extinguisher complying with the requirements of FC 906 and having a minimum rating of 80-B:C, and a minimum agent capacity of 125 pounds (57 kg), shall be provided.
3.Where the open-hose discharge capacity of the fueling system is more than 350 gallons per minute (22 L/s), a minimum of two listed wheeled portable fire extinguishers complying with the requirements of FC 906 and having a minimum rating of 80-B:C each, and a minimum agent capacity of 125 pounds (57 kg) of each, shall be provided.
