BC § 411.5

Actuation of a single smoke detector, the automatic sprinkler system or other automatic fire detection device shall initiate a pre-signal system in accordance with NFPA 72 as modified by Appendix Q of this code at a constantly attended location from which the Fire Department shall be notified and live voice evacuation instructions shall be initiated using an emergency voice/alarm communications system in accordance with Section 907.5.2.2.
