BC § 3319.12

No certificate of operation for a crane shall be issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2019, unless the crane is equipped with an event recorder that is supplied by the crane manufacturer, or by a dealer, distributor, vendor, or third-party authorized crane manufacturer. Exception: Cranes where the manufacturer certifies to the department that an event recorder cannot be installed on the crane due to a technological limitation.
