3315.1.5 Guardrail required.

BC § 3315.1.5

A guardrail meeting the requirements of Sections 3308.7.1 through 3308.7.7 shall be provided in any of the following circumstances: 1. Where an unprotected side or edge is 6 feet (1829 mm) or more above the ground, floor, or other lower level; 2. Along any portion of the runway or ramp that is used by persons and abuts motor vehicle traffic; or 3. Along any portion of the runway or ramp where a person may thereby be exposed to harm from adjoining machinery, electrical equipment, or other hazardous equipment. For the purposes of Section 3315.1.5, the term "floor" in Sections 3308.7.1 through 3308.7.7 shall mean "runway or ramp".
