3011.1 Signage.

BC § 3011.1

When an existing or new automatic passenger elevator in any building or structure is being serviced, repaired, inspected or tested by an elevator company, or elevator personnel, and there are no elevator personnel available to remain in the elevator car, "CAUTION" sign tapes shall be placed across the car door jamb. One strip of "CAUTION" sign tape shall be placed at a height of 18 inches (457 mm) above the car floor and another strip of "CAUTION" sign tape shall be placed at a height of 54 inches (1372 mm) above the car floor.
