BC § 3008.7.2
The occupant evacuation elevator lobby shall be enclosed with a smoke barrier having a fire-resistance rating of not less than 1 hour, except that lobby doorways shall comply with Section 3008.7.3. Exception: Enclosed occupant evacuation elevator lobbies are not required at the levels of exit discharge.
