Except where stucco construction that complies with Section 2510 is installed, the outside of exterior walls of enclosed buildings, including gables, shall be sheathed with one of the materials of the minimum thickness specified in Table 2308.5.11. Fasteners shall be used that are designed in accordance with the requirements of Section 2304.10 or accepted engineering practice. Alternatively, sheathing materials and fasteners complying with Section 2304.6 shall be permitted.
