2111.1 General.

BC § 2111.1

The construction of masonry fireplaces shall be in accordance with this section, Table 2111.1 and Figure 2111.1. All masonry fireplaces shall be installed, altered and maintained in buildings in conformity with the applicable provisions of the New York City Mechanical Code, the New York City Fuel Gas Code and the New York City Air Pollution Control Code. No new masonry fireplaces shall be permitted except those that burn the types of fuel allowed by Section 24-149.2 of the New York City Air Pollution Control Code.
