BC § 1905.4

Concrete proportioning determined without field experience or trial mixtures shall be done in accordance with ACI 318, Section 26.4.4.1(b). This method of proportioning shall not be permitted for: 1. Load-carrying structural concrete where the total volume of concrete on a given project exceeds 50 cubic yards (38 m 3 ); or 2. Structural or non-structural concrete mix proportions that will be exposed to exposure classes S1, P1, or C2.
