1817.7.1.5 Excavation below the water table.

BC § 1817.7.1.5

Pit excavation shall not proceed below the water table. If the depth of the underpinning requires excavation below the existing water table, a dewatering system shall be installed prior to the start of the excavation. The dewatering system shall be tested via test pit or piezometer to confirm that the water table has been sufficiently drawn down prior to the start of the pit underpinning work.
