1812.7.3.1 Increased allowable bond stress.

BC § 1812.7.3.1

Load tests, with instrumentation in the rock socket to demonstrate the transfer of force to the rock, shall be performed to justify the use of bond stresses above 200 psi (1379 kPa). A minimum factor of safety of 2 shall be applied to the ultimate test load where an increase in allowable bond stress is sought. A report summarizing the methods and results of the load test shall be submitted to the commissioner for approval.
