1810.2.2 Additional geotechnical investigation and report requirements.

BC § 1810.2.2

Where deep foundations are used, the geotechnical investigation and report provisions of Section 1803 shall be expanded to include, but not be limited to, consideration of the following: 1. Recommended deep foundation types and their capacities.

2.Designation of bearing stratum or strata.

3.Suitable center-to-center spacing of deep foundation elements.

4.Reductions for group action, where necessary.

5.Load test requirements.

6.Durability of pile materials.

7.Installation procedures.

8.Protection of adjacent structures due to installation.

9.Field inspection and reporting procedures (to include procedures for verification of the installed bearing capacity where required).
