BC § 1705.14.4.4

Thickness measurements shall be selected from a square area, 12 inches by 12 inches (304.8 mm by 304.8 mm) in size. Not fewer than four measurements shall be made, located symmetrically within the square area, including one each of the following: valley, crest and sides. The average of the measurements shall be reported.
