1607.10.3 Elements supporting building maintenance equipment.

BC § 1607.10.3

In addition to any other applicable live loads, structural elements that support hoists for facade access and building maintenance equipment shall be designed for a live load of 2.5 times the rated load of the hoist or the stall load of the hoist, whichever is greater. Equipment installed temporarily to facilitate construction, demolition, alteration, or inspection shall be subject to the requirements of Chapter 33.
