BC § 1409.1.1

The use of HPL in exterior wall coverings is subject to the following limitations: 1. HPL is prohibited in exterior wall coverings in Type IV construction utilizing cross-laminated timer (CLT) or structural composite lumber (SCL) complying with Section 602.4.

2.HPL is prohibited in exterior wall coverings at exterior balconies and shall comply with Section 1406.3.
