1405.11.2 Weather protection.

BC § 1405.11.2

Metal supports for exterior metal veneer shall be protected by painting, galvanizing or by other approved coating or treatment. Wood studs, furring strips or other wood supports for exterior metal veneer shall be approved pressure-treated wood or protected as required in Section 1403.2. Joints and edges exposed to the weather shall be caulked with approved durable waterproofing material or by other approved means to prevent penetration of moisture.
