§ 522 SECTION 522 Enforcement

RPL § 522

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the attorney general of the state of New York shall have the authority to enforce the provisions of section five hundred twenty-one of this article by applying, in the name of the people of the state of New York, to the supreme court of the state of New York, on notice of five days, for an order enjoining the continuance of such violative activity, including but not limited to by bringing an action for injunctive or declaratory relief if a single-family residence or two-family residence is in the process of being or has been sold in a manner that contravenes the requirements of section five hundred twenty-one of this article, and imposing civil damages and penalties pursuant to subdivisions three and four of section five hundred twenty-one of this article, as applicable.
