RCNY § 82-51
(a)A vehicle that is currently licensed as a for-hire vehicle as of July 1, 2013 or thereafter can be hacked up for use as a Street Hail Livery.
(b)Continuation in Service. Upon Hack-up, a vehicle may continue in service with the same Street Hail Livery License so long as the vehicle passes inspection pursuant to 35 RCNY § 82-30.
