§ 61A-17 Operations – Responsibility with Respect to Drivers.

RCNY § 61

(a)Prohibit Disability Discrimination by Drivers. A Vehicle Owner must not allow a Driver to discriminate unlawfully against Persons with Disabilities. Such discrimination includes, but is not limited to: (1) Refusing to serve Persons with Disabilities, (2) Refusing to load and unload the mobility aids of Persons with Disabilities, and (3) Imposing any charge in addition to the authorized fare for the transportation of Persons with Disabilities, service animals, wheelchairs, or other mobility aids.

(b)Multiple Person Liability. The Commuter-Van Vehicle Owner will be liable for violating this Rule even when the actual violation has been unilaterally committed by the Commuter-Van Driver. 35 RCNY § 61A-17Fine: $200 - $350Appearance REQUIRED
