§ 3-09 Lost or Stolen Documents and Rifles/Shotguns.

RCNY § 3-09

All lost or stolen documents and rifles/shotguns shall be reported to the precinct in which the permittee resides or the theft or loss was discovered. The permittee shall obtain a complaint number from the precinct and report in person the loss or theft to the Rifle/Shotgun Section within five (5) calendar days of the loss. A fee of ten (10) dollars is charged for each document for which a replacement is requested. This fee shall be paid by certified check, credit card, or money order made payable to the N.Y.C. Police Department and shall accompany the report. The permittee shall not send cash. (Amended City Record 12/6/2024, eff. 1/5/2025)
