Proud Sponsors of the Small Claims Arbitrators Association

Nacmias Law Firm, PLLC was proud to sponsor the Small Claims Arbitrators Association, and to spend a day supporting the people who help everyday New Yorkers resolve real disputes.

We Played Golf. We Sponsored a Great Event.

And somehow, nobody from Nacmias Law Firm ended up in a sand trap long enough to need legal representation. It was a great day out on the course, but it was also a good reminder of something we've seen firsthand many times: Small Claims Court matters.

Nacmias Law Firm, PLLC was proud to sponsor the Small Claims Arbitrators Association (SCAA). For us, supporting the SCAA isn't just about a day of golf. It's about backing the volunteers and professionals who keep one of New York's most accessible courts moving.

A Trophy Worth Bragging About

And yes: Michael took home the birdie prize. When closest-to-the-pin earns you a toilet seat instead of a sand trap, you take the win.

Why Small Claims Court Matters

Michael Nacmias has appeared in Small Claims Court many times over the years. The cases may be “small” by dollar amount, but they are not small to the people involved. These are real disputes:

  • Contractor issues
  • Security deposits
  • Unpaid invoices
  • Property damage
  • Consumer disputes
  • Small-business collection matters

For many New Yorkers, Small Claims Court is their first real experience with the court system. It is where a contractor dispute, an unreturned security deposit, or an unpaid invoice finally gets heard, often without a lawyer on either side. That accessibility is exactly what makes the court so important, and so worth supporting.

That Is Why Arbitrators Are So Important

Arbitrators help people be heard, help cases move, and help resolve disputes that might otherwise sit on already-crowded court calendars. The Small Claims Arbitrators Association supports that work by training and standing behind the people who give their time to keep the process fair and efficient. We were happy to support them.

About the Small Claims Arbitrators Association

The SCAA supports the arbitrators who help New Yorkers resolve small claims fairly and efficiently. It is a cornerstone of access to justice in our civil courts.
