MC § 1305.12.2

Tanks located above ground, inside or outside of buildings, shall comply with any one of the following design standards, as appropriate for the specific installation as determined by the engineer: 1. UL 80; such tanks shall be listed and labeled; 2. UL 142; such tanks shall be listed and labeled; 3. UL 2258; such tanks shall be installed only in one- or two-family dwellings in accordance with Section 1305.15 and shall be listed and labeled; 4. ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1 or 2; such tanks shall be labeled; or 5. Alternate tank design and construction standards contained in Section 1305.14 (Am.
