§ 58-35 Vehicle Equipment – Partitions.

RCNY § 58-35

(a)Partition Required.

(1)A Taxicab must be equipped with a partition unless exempt from this requirement.

(2)An Owner must ensure that all Taxicabs, except as provided in subdivision (b) of this section, are equipped with a partition that meets the specifications set forth in 35 RCNY § 67-10, and with provision for air conditioning for the rear passenger compartment, as set forth in 35 RCNY § 67-14. 35 RCNY § 58-35(a)Fine: $300 and suspension until the condition is correctedAppearance REQUIRED (b) Exemption from Partition Requirement. A Taxicab Owner will be exempt from the provisions of subdivision (a) of this section provided the Taxicab is equipped with the following: (1) The required Trouble Lights.

(3)An approved In-Vehicle Camera System that meets the requirements of 35 RCNY § 67-12.
