614.1.3 Access to emergency water fixtures.

PC § 614.1.3

Fixtures capable of supplying an emergency source of potable water in accordance with this section shall be located indoors in one or more common areas of the building. Such area shall be on an accessible route that complies with Section 1104.3 of the New York City Building Code. Where such area requires users to pass through a doorway to access the emergency water fixture, such area shall further comply with Section 1107.3 of the New York City Building Code. Emergency fixtures shall comply with Section 1109.12 of the New York City Building Code. Exception: Such fixtures shall not be located in a bathroom or toilet room. (Am.
