What is NYC BC § 428.3.6?

Quick Answer

This section mandates that exhaust air from areas where radioactive materials are used or stored be vented outdoors to avoid health hazards and prohibits recirculation within the building. It also requires that air pressure in these rooms be lower than that of adjacent areas to prevent the movement of radioactive gases or dust. Applies to building owners managing spaces with radioactive materials.
