Quick Answer

This section mandates that when the operating temperature of a dryer reaches 175°F (79°C) or higher, metal enclosures must be insulated from combustible materials. This can be achieved by maintaining a minimum airspace of 12 inches or by lining the metal walls with approved insulation. Applies to building owners managing dryer installations.
