1812.7.2 Materials.

BC § 1812.7.2

Pipe and steel cores for caisson piles shall conform to the material requirements in Section 1811.7. Pipes shall have a minimum wall thickness of 3/8 inch (9.5 mm) and shall be fitted with a suitable steel-driving shoe or cutting teeth welded to the bottom of the pipe. Concrete or grout shall have a 28-day specified compressive strength (f 'c ) of not less than 4,000 psi (27.58 MPa).
