Where a structure is located in a V zone or Coastal A zone and Fa is to be considered in design, in addition to load combinations of Equations 16-12 through 16-20, structures and portions thereof shall resist the most critical effects of load combinations of Equations 16-21, 16-23 and 16-25. Where a structure is located in an A zone and Fa is to be considered in design, in addition to load combinations of Equations 16-12 through 16-20, structures and portions thereof shall resist the most critical effects of load combinations of Equations 16-22, 16-24 and 16-26. Where self-straining loads, T, are considered in design, their structural effects in combination with other loads shall be determined in accordance with Section 2.4.4 of ASCE 7. Where ice loads are to be considered in design, the load combinations of Section 2.4.3 of ASCE 7 shall be used.
